Starting with La Baracca down at Petitenget with their dreamy wood fired margherita and prosciutta e burrato, plus pasta galore (must-try includes the rich tagliatelle boscaiola) and the complimentary homemade limoncello is a nice finishing touch. Siblings Da Maria (Petitenget), Da Romeo (Berawa), and Luigi (Batu Mejan) also serves the best pizza in town dressed in a much more elegant setting. Trattoria has already been a household name since 2002, the lovechild of owner Edoardo Guerrini and chef Olivari Vanni who transplant their gastronomical experiences in Italy and NYC respectively, and now they have more than 20 branches across Asia, with five in Bali including Canggu. Milano (Jl. Pantai Berawa) shows promise in their pizza selection, especially the appio Latina. And last but not least, the always buzzy Fabrica (Jl. Batu Mejan), who just opened a second shop in Bumbak, whips up a finely crusty dough on each of their superb pizzas, including the cheese-less white pizza for the vegan crowd.
