THERE IS NO SHORTAGE OF THINGS TO DO ON THE ISLAND, AND YOU’LL BE SURPRISED BY SOME OF ITS OFFERINGS. BUT WE LOVE TO TRY NEW THINGS. SO HERE ARE BITS ABOUT OTHER POSSIBLE FIT IMPROVING ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO IN CANGGU AND ITS SURROUNDING NEIGHBORHOOD.

GET HOT MI AMO
After a sweet and sweaty workout ease your muscles with a detoxifying “sweat bath”. Favorite spot: the saunas at AMO Spa. This cozy joint is equipped with your usual dry and “wet” sauna (aka steam bath) but you also have the option to dip into their open-air jacuzzi or hot and cold water baths that overlook rice paddy fields. Many studies have revealed that sauna works wonders to soothe aching muscles, boost metabolism and blood circulation, improves mental and emotional wellbeing, and, of course, toxin detoxifiers. They also offer some great spa treatments (the Rejuvenate Me massage is to die for), making it perfect for postworkout me time.

Cycling is so in these days. If one of your bucket lists in Bali is to cycle through the island, well, the road is all yours. Many operators provide bike tours that will guide you through an exhilarating journey from the mountains to the beach, traversing panoramic views of trees and rice fields along the way, of course. Try Bali Cycling for tour packages that includes Jatiluwih - Tanah Lot and Klungkung - Karangasem route, as well as triathlon training. You just choose the time, and they will pick you up to drive you to the starting point. If you prefer to go solo, they also rent out bikes with prices ranging from IDR 150K – 300K.

SWIM LIKE A MERMAID
The name says it all Bali Mermaid School and it’s the go to place to learn to swim, mermaid style. Glide that monofin effortlessly with courses like Basic & Advanced Mermaid (pool based) and Ocean Mermaid, but it’s not going to be a walk err, swim in the park. The mermaid style basically adheres to your regular diving rules, and the instructors are scuba and free dive certified, among many others, and here you can even learn synchronized swimming. In case those sounds too complicated, take their photoshoot packages for a frolic in the sand with your fin up golden moments. At least, you can be part of their world partially..

GIDDY UP!
There is a new stable in town. Royal Sport horse Bali will satiates your inner hippophiles and then some. You can ride across rice fields, villages, and beaches around Canggu capturing that majestic snapshots in between or simply hanging out at the stables grooming the horses. If you’ve never ridden before, you can take regular riding lessons (perfect way to improve your posture, by the way) and as for your broods, give them the space to connect in their Pony Camp program. And it’s not just horses too! The Royal Sporthorse also have a petting zoo with chickens, bunnies, and turkeys. Include this ride for your next family activities.
