ISLAND ORGANIC BALI
No farmer’s market in your area? Just shop at Island Organic Bali. This locally owned delivery service harvests the fresh produce from their own organic farm in the cool region of Baturiti, Tabanan. Founded in 2002, Island Organic Bali initially supplies to the hospitality and F&B industry on the island but then they branched out to individual delivery. You can order their packages subscription style, like the Harvest Basket packages (content based on what’s in season) with delivery time ranging from 4 to 50 times a month. If you’re into juicing or smoothing, go for their Heirloom Earth Juice Package, and but of course you can also have your own pick of fruits, veggies, and flowers as “Edible Flower Mix” is also on the menu.

PASAR RAKYAT BALI
Set up last year to support local farmers impacted by the pandemic, Pasar Rakyat Bali brings the “wet market” to you. They source their produce from various farmers, selling usual items on your shopping list fruits and veggies, rice, spices, eggs, poultry, fish plus a section on organics, seasonal premiums, and even prepared foods an ingenious way to reduce food waste, for sure. The great thing about this endeavor is that they also empowering farmers by sharing practices on sustainability and fair trade, encouraging them to use less chemicals and more traditional methods. Pasar Rakyat Bali occasionally opens shop every Sunday morning at Krishna outlet in Sunset Road.


NOURISH WITHIN BALI
For a more upscale and ready to eat option, Nourish Within Bali serves up nutrient rich, chef crafted meal plans. The menu is on the healing side, free of the expected unnecessaries sugar, gluten, starchy fillers, MSG, anything fried so it’s all about a macro balanced meal that’ll keep you, well, nourished. You simply need to fill up a form on their website, mention your preferred diet (standard, vegetarian, vegan, pescatarian) and choose delivery time for lunch, dinner or both. Their coconut-almond crusted fish fingers with sauerkraut salad and roasted veggies is a delight that we wouldn’t mind to have seconds.
