Turmeric has powerful anti inflammatory benefits which are improved by the addition of black pepper. Here’s a very simple recipe inspired by Indonesian spices which can be adapted to any protein source of your choice, not just fish!

NUTRITIONAL VALUE OF ONE SERVING OF FISH, 130GR OF WHITE RICE AND 70GR STEAMED BOK CHOY.
300 gr of raw Dory (Tilapia)
80 ml Coconut Milk
1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
1/2 tsp Black Pepper
1/2 tsp Ground Ginger

INGREDIENTS FOR 2 SERVINGS:
300 gr of raw Dory (Tilapia)
80 ml Coconut Milk
1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
1/2 tsp Black Pepper
1/2 tsp Ground Ginger
STEPS:
1. Pat fish dry with paper towel
2. Mix the turmeric, black pepper and ground ginger
3. Rub the dry spices onto fish and let marinate for 15 to 60 minutes
4. Add in coconut milk and coat fish completely
5. Slide the fish slowly into a hot frying pan and cook on low heat for 4-5 minutes each side. Cooking time will vary depending on the size and type of fish.
6. Remove from heat when the liquid is reduced, and the fish flakes with a fork.
Serve with rice and steamed baby bok choy
