HOW DID YOU END UP IN BALI?

I was living in Germany when the ‘Rona hit and things weren’t going so well over there -I lived in a village in the mountains and it took me 3 hours to get to a gym in the closest city. I loved my life there too, but I wanted to go somewhere I could ride dirt bikes, train every day, and eat healthy food. I had just started training CrossFit and heard good things about Wanderlust, so Bali was perfect.

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN AT WANDERLUST?

A little over one year! It’s special for me because It’s the longest time that I’ve been in one place since I was 20.

FAVOURITE LIFT OR MOVEMENT?

It’s too hard to pick! Three-way tie between Turkish get-ups, deadlifts, and back squats.

ANY TIPS FOR BEGINNERS, OR THOSE WHO WANT TO TRY CROSSFIT?

Hmm…I don’t know if I’m qualified to give much advice because I’m pretty new to it too. I don’t know anyone who doesn’t wish that they started sooner (myself included). I have a lot of friends who find the idea of jumping into a class intimidating, but the cool thing about CrossFit is that the person who’s scaling is struggling just as much as the person who’s going Rx (if you’re scaling properly). It’s the most supportive fitness community I’ve ever been in and when you start coming regularly, you’ll see how silly your worries probably were.
